AUBURN, Ala. – Applications for the 2025 Public Safety Academy are now open at auburnalabama.org/academies.

The Public Safety Academy, formerly the Citizens’ Police Academy, is designed to allow the citizens of Auburn the opportunity to gain a behind-the-scenes look at the emergency services available within their community. As a result, residents can expect to leave the academy with a better understanding of and relationship with Auburn Public Safety. Members of the Auburn community who are 19 years of age or older are encouraged to apply.

The academy consists of 10 sessions spread over nine weeks. Sessions will include presentations from various department leaders highlighting topics such as gun safety, CPR and investigations. The academy will conclude with a graduation ceremony where members will be able to celebrate and reflect upon their achievements.

March 6, 6-8:30 p.m.

March 20, 6-8:30 p.m.

March 27, 6-8:30 p.m.

March 29, 9-12 p.m.

April 3, 6-8:30 p.m.

April 10, 6-8:30 p.m.

April 17, 6-8:30 p.m.

April 19, 9-12 p.m.

April 24, 6-8:30 p.m.

April 29, 6-8 p.m.
